Spinwell Projects No.4. The Beanie [+].

October 7, 2011

Due to popular demand the Spinwell Projects beanie has been repeated, but this time in a much nicer choice of material; Thick, soft Cotton mix.

Spinwell Projects always endeavors to manufacture locally using materials produced on these shores and this piece of headwear is no exception; Spinwell Projects No.4 has been lovingly handcrafted by one man and his machine in Wales.

Perfect for those early morning cycling journeys.

Head over to the store to find out more on how you can get your mitts one of these beauties, while stocks last.

Essential item No.4. Spinwell Projects beanie.

September 11, 2011

After the drop of the original beanie, SP#1 back in 2009 I have missed out on producing any more of these for one reason and another, so I was very happy a few weeks ago when this sample hat for the forthcoming project dropped on my door mat.

An absolute essential for the approaching winter. Spinwell Projects, The Beanie[+].

Hold tight! Available very soon.

Spinwell Projects Export. Australia.

June 14, 2011

Spinwell Projects are now available to buy in Australia, Victoria to be precise, at Endless Pedal, a fantastic high-end cycle store / gallery space.

While on the subject of galleries I’d also like to make a mention of Endless’ latest exhibition featuring none other than Tim Kolln showing his ‘Peloton’ series. So if you are near Victoria make sure you go check it out this Thursday 16th and pick up a t-shirt while you are there too.

It’s a long way off but we are on our way. Hold tight.

Rapha Cross Gear.

September 27, 2010

The start of the cyclocross season is upon us and Rapha have refined and developed cross products to help you charge through the field quickly and comfortably. The Cross Jersey and 3/4 Bibs use performance fabrics and rider-specific features and sport the tricolour of the Rapha-Focus cyclocross team, who will do battle in North America this coming season.

Awesome cyclo cross collection here from Rapha and I must say I am completely loving the colour palette. If only I had the Umbrella today.

Ever since attending the National Cyclo cross Championships early this year in a windy, sodden Sutton Park I have been intrigued. That said, spending more money on yet another bike will not be permitted by the other half so I should stop thinking about it.

Seek.

Win a Spinwell Musette!

September 14, 2010

Yes that’s right. WIN! a super limited Spinwell Musette.

As beautifully hand crafted as the now sold out natural cotton Spinwell Musette from Project No.3. However this time it features a slightly heavier gauge Red canvas with the ‘feed well’ screen print appearing discreetly in Red and lest we forget the luxury satin piping on the interior. It’s like a ‘taste the difference’ Spinwell Musette.

One of only five made this is your chance to grab a little bit of Wellness for absolutely nothing, nowt, nada! All you have to do to be in with a chance of winning is:

Get in-touch using the ‘Email me’ tab over to the right and tell me your name. That’s it. Easy!

The winning entrant will then be contacted via email.

GET INVOLVED AND GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!

Spinwell Projects No.3 – The Musette.

July 19, 2010

Brilliant. Spinwell Projects No.3 – ‘The Musette’ is almost a complete batch.

Super happy at the outcome of these, they are exactly how I envisaged. The print looks fantastic, the quality of Hardysan’s stitch-work is amazing and above all it works, the tiny little refinements myself and Hardysan talked about and implemented on this, such a basic item turned out beautifully.

Out very soon! Keep em peeled for more details.

Eddy Creps.

July 13, 2010

Not one to spoil classic looks, Jon, my good pal recently gripped these NOS Eddy Merckx Adidas “creps” ( street slang for shoes ) off Ebay for use on his Colnago Super.

Properly nice, but on my steel bikes I am still representing with the vulcanized sole, full flex and all. You know? I really should look for a solution to that.

Spinwell Projects No.3

July 2, 2010

It seems like an age since I last mentioned the next Spinwell project but alas, it’s underway. Sourcing the right cloth, finalising designs and liaising with the printer and seamster is hard work, you know!

Anyway, so last night my friend and printer printed up the thirty pre-cut musettes and as always, they look amazing. Next they are off to be stitched up and by one mans hands I might add because as you may know, when it comes to things like this I like to keep things local or as a lot of creative workers say in 2010 “hyper-local”… Whatever that means?

Thanks Dave, they look awesome… Now I cannot wait to see them made up and being used.
