Essential Item No.5. Dynamo works print.

October 30, 2011

Here it is, my daily kick up the arse, thanks to Chris Sleath of Dynamo works.

When it’s raining or blowing a gale outside and I really don’t fancy it, this print beautifully made by hand and letter press that is hung proudly above my mantle let’s me know that if I want to keep this healthy heart of mine ticking, then I should just get on with it… And get on with I do.

For more amazing print work just like this go peep Dynamo.

A small operation, fueled by the desire to return thoughtful work to the finished object. Goods made in New York on a Depression-era Singer using domestically produced canvas.

I really love this stuff, and I’v been hankering after this blue shirt for some time now. D’emploi! If you’re listening… can you make me a large please? x

There was some great stuff on show, Ricky Feather’s track frame was stunning, as was Donhou’s road bike built for Tim of the Daily cycle and let’s not talk about the Dura Ace equipped Brother track bike. Feather and Donhou were also awarded prizes for best Best track frame and best Utility bike respectively, as voted for by the exhibitors.

All in all a top day with some amazing things to see and also plenty of ideas if you were thinking about a build, which is pretty much me the whole time but sans cash.

are already calling for exhibitors for 2012 so start pestering your local builder now, so we can see next year’s show being twice as big!

More pics of the day here at my flickrspot.

Just grabbed my tickets and it’s fair to say I’m really looking forward to it.

I’m pretty much going to spending all of Saturday ogling fancy bikes, but aside from that I hope to meet a lot of the people I have emailed and spoken to through here, it’ll be great to put a few faces to some names.

See you saturday!

Not sure where I spotted this but it’s a damn good idea don’t you think?

Handlebar chic.

On a bike with swept back handlebars and amber wall tyres one of these would look great. Plus you can flip it and wear it around your person with the additional strap. Perfect!

Spotted at the Death and Texas Etsy store.

Handmade For Joe.

December 15, 2009

Joe I know you have waited a while for these but here they are, done and ready to go out in the post to you today.

Handmade doubleizer goodness that work very, very well for folks who don’t want double straps but want to run double straps. Did that make sense? I am not sure it did.

While on the subject of Handmade goodness just a quick one to say I am still waiting on the Beanies but they should be here anytime now… I guess you gotta leave a bit of breathing space when you are dealing with an artisan right!?

That’s it for today and maybe this week as I am off down that London tomorrow with work so I will be real busy and not to mention the Christmas mayhem that awaits me down there… eek!

I will endeavour to return before the week is out but fear not friends as any information I have on the Spinwell Projects Beanie you guys guys will get to know straight away.
