Peep the winter training on a brakeless fixed gear bike, tough guy! Seen over at Doug Siple’s super, awesome flickr spot.
I have posted on this guy’s photographs and scans before but honestly, he has so, so much good stuff, if you have the time, go trawl.

I actually really like this, dredged up from Tracko’s archives. Fixed gear, brake, hoods, clipless pedals and loads of lightweight bling, this bike is clearly intended for comfortable, quick travelling. Love it.

I can’t enter on a geared bike, that would be cheating and I would probably cruise the win so it’s the trackie tonight, however I have not ridden my fixed bike properly for so long, thus I am quivering. Actually a bit scared of macking those speeds again.
So, If you see no posts next week it’s because I am in hospital.

I like what is going on with these and the geometry don’t look too bad either.
Made of simple Cr-Mo so I have no doubt these will be cheap. If only I could understand what was being said on the website!
Spotted at Lockedcog.

Until this blasted rain stops our weekly Tuesday rides are off people.
It hurts me to know that our ‘Summer’ is passing us by while we are busy staring out of our windows into puddles on the floor outside, watching the rain drops fall like bombs onto our spirits, but fear not my friends! Our time will come.

Tomorrow night.

Fin, the man who has single handedly brought Bike Polo to Birmingham has set up a regular game, commencing every Wednesday at 6.20pm at Calthopre Park, just off the Pershore road.
I believe he has all the gear you need ( Mallets ) so you can just turn with your whip and get involved.
If you have the time and have never tried polo you really must give it a go as it may just be the most fun you could possible have on a bike whilst waving a stick about.
Go here for updates.

As far as shirts go this is quite nice, although I am not sure if we need anymore plaid.

The latest riding enthusiast to try his hand at bike-friendly gear? Steven Alan. Alan’s new flannel riding shirt—designed in conjunction with Lower East Side track-and-fixie mecca Chari & Co.—has a long tail to cover your ass and a Velcro-fastened rip-open chest pocket that’s been relocated to a messenger-bag-friendly position. There are also sweatshirt-style ribbed cuffs on the sleeves, sturdy snaps on the placket, and what’s being called a “hunting pocket” zippered into the back. Unless your cycling is a lot different than our cycling, we’re thinking this is more for a banana, an MP3 player, and a portable pump than for, say, upland game—but then again, who are we to tell you how to roll?
Words from here.

I was sorry to see you go yesterday but I am sure your new owner will look after you as well as I did. Plus now you will get to go on the track and every week too, that is something I never did for you so for that Dolan you can be grateful.
Cheerio.
