Loving the “ghetto stop”. Reminds me of being a kid riding my nail of a mongoose with no brakes. Man I ruined many a sneaker ( usually the left one ) stopping like this. Mother Campbell was not impressed.

Great vid.
Spotted at LSF who also right now have a real nice vid of ricky from Feather cycles up, go seek.

What I wouldn’t do for one of these right now.

This is the Killer San Andreas Mountain Cycle from the early 90s. Everyone I knew back then either wanted one of these or a Foes Fab in red.

I love how Downhill bikes back then still had long ass stems and bar ends. It was all about the multi discipline I guess. What we would call today ‘Freeriding’, go everywhere, do everything riding. The difference being a full suspension bike of old would climb hills like a fat person on a space hopper… Nowadays you could have 5″ of travel all around and still climb effortlessly with absolutely no hinderance from the bike whatsoever.

Just mentioning this subject makes me want to build something. A hardtail SS for sure but watch this space!

Bianchi is 125.

One of the oldest cycle manufacturers Bianchi is 125 years old this year and The italian cycling journal has a great write up on the history of the brand so if you have a spare few minutes head over and check it out.

Affinity x CMWC.

We’re helping raise money for CMWC Japan by donating the first production Kissena frame set, and four Lo Pro frame sets custom powder coated candy clear red with white CMWC and Affinity graphics. The Kissena is size small 52cm and we have two small and two medium Lo Pros available.

The Kissena frame set is $899.00, and the Lo Pro’s are $500.00 f/f. All money raised will go to the CMWC fund. This is a great chance to help support CMWC, and for doing so you’ll be sporting the first Kissena or a custom Lo Pro.

We know many of you have been ripping apart the internets looking for this frame.

Some of you wanted it so bad you got builders to make it for you.

It’s been since 2004 that we’ve been real life testing this frame, a head on collision with a car, winters, hundreds of drop offs and pick ups, pot holes, bike polo, multiple cities, tens of alleycats and Cycle Messenger Championships all around the world.

And, they all survived. 5 years of testing gave us a lot of time for perfecting the design.

Which we did, new drop outs, new geometry, and a few other goodies.

So we feel they are ready to take the title of the strongest work bikes in the world.
Finally, a Track Frame designed to survive in the concrete maze.

Liking the look of these frames and the first 15 orders get one at a special price too.

Fuji 2010.

September 23, 2009

I have always been a fan of Fuji bikes and the 2010 offerings do not dissapoint.

From ‘semi’ monocoque Carbon on the ‘Elite’ to pure cr-mo steel on the ‘classic’ Fuji have all bases covered. My personal favourite has to be the Track Pro ( second one down ) – Sh*t looks tight as hell and I would absolutely love to rip it!

I can’t really see too well in the pictures but what cranks do the ‘Pro’ and the ‘Comp’ have on? I quite like the look of them so… Answers on a postcard please.
