Gosh, I don’t know about this me. I am sure it works but if it fails it could be somewhat catastrophic, to the ring, the brake mechanism and maybe the rider too. Ouch!

In Chopper motorcycles this setup is quite usual. I dont see why this would not work, but it sure needs sprocket made for this use. How smart its to have brakes on front sprocket its another question.
