Firstly may I begin with wishing you all a happy new year!
So. It is now 2010 and I am still a little hazy from my short break but nevertheless… The Spinwell show must go on!
2010 promises to be a good year here at SW HQ – Spinwell projects will continue with more hot products in the pipeline plus maybe a re-up on the Beanie. There will be more trips over the water too as I and a few chums are hoping to get out and do the course of La Marmotte. For those who do not know of this killer sportive it consists of 100 miles over three of the toughest cols of the TdF… the Galibier, the Telegraph and L’Alpe d’Huez and considering the amount of riding ( or lack of ) I have been doing lately on my road bike my ass needs to get training. If anyone else wants to do this with me and few others get intouch as we are planning on doing a fixed gear ride from Birmingham to Amsterdam ( the long way, so no ferry from Southampton to Rotterdam! ). There will be more events too because 2009 was a little sparse on rides and races around these parts. The first will hopefully be the Birmingham Ring Road Race but I have limited details on this as yet so keep em peeled for updates.
Right then. To start things off nicely in 2010 here is a photograph of my favourite memory of 2009.

Camping, Annecy, post 80 mile ride over several cols, Kieran planning the following day’s route while Joseph gets cooking and I wait impatiently behind the camera for the sun to go down so we can get the 1987 Armanac out once again.
2010 Bring it on!
