The livestrong train continues to gather pace with these hot new Zoom Tiempo offerings.

If you are lucky enough to own an SB numbered special products Raleigh frame like myself you may or may not know that you cannot really pin point the dates as they started at 1 and worked up to over a thousand, sequentially.
My particular ‘SB’ Raleigh has a number of 969 and when cross referenced to other SB frames I found that mine was made sometime in late 1976 and that is about as far as I have got!
Last week I said I would post pics of either the Bottechia Equipe or the Ciocc San Crisoball but no… I chose this beauty instead. A 1989 Paletti Cronos complete with Modolo braking equipment and an Assos chainset I have never seen before. I am loving the profile of those tubes too, proper early aero!
An absolute beauty of a Moser spotted on the Bici Crono Flickr spot. I simply cannot get enough of that seattube and it’s severe layback at the top. Perfect.
To those across the world wide web who like the posts of SPINWELL and link to them… Thank you! And I will continue to do the same also as it is you that has put in all of the work to find these gems that we all love so much.
And to those pirates who straight jack posts including those off other blogs and websites and then don’t link to them or sometimes even pass a found gem off as their own – You suck… infinitely. Oh and remember pirates, this is not a numbers war so burn your stats!
To say a quick thanks to those who have linked to me, here is a small list of blogs I read and link to regularly.
Go check them out if you havn’t already, they are great blogs and always worth tapping in.
Now to lighten the mood a little after my negative indulgence here is a vid of my favourite BMXer right now – Mike Aitken. This guy flows tighter over dirt packs than anyone I have ever seen. No big tricks like flairs or cash rolls, just a real simple, beautiful, effortless flow.
I know summer has gone but you could create your own rays simply by mounting this whip. Around my neighbourhood we like to call this “Blingerz” and yes, always with a Z.
I will post the source next week, right after I post more photographs. Maybe it will be the luscious Bottecchia Equipe or maybe even the magnificent Ciocc San Cristobal! We will see.
A good friend of mine has recently had his gorgeous town bike stolen out of a back garden in the Kings Heath area of Birmingham.
So please friends, if you see this bike get in-touch, or better still stick a lock on it. Then hopefully we can reunite this bike with it’s rightful owner.
That Geoffrey Butler is lovely but I am really not sure why the fine Zunow time trial bike complete with tri bars and fluoro paint has a bell on it, dude get an air horn on there you may as well.
I am liking the look of these hubs, although probably more sans world champ bands but anyway. Quality and build looks great and as I understand it they weigh less than Phils and also cost a bit less too.

It’s not light yet. There’s a breeze stirring the trees above Furnace Creek and a couple of sleepy crows are cawing halfheartedly about the coming day. They’d be wearing black again, a bad choice in one of the hottest places on earth. Much to my delight the Specialized peloton would be back in pink.
A real nice write up this, well worth a read and the photography is absolutely on point.
