I have never needed anything but clip and a double strap ( of the nylon variety ) but the more I hear of these the more I want to try them. One thing is for damn certain, they look heavy as hell and I am convinced that not another strap will be broken once these are installed.

I’m with you. Perfectly content with double straps and toe clips but the hype on these is getting to me. Can’t bring myself to drop the money on these though. I wish there was a demo…

A guy named JOL on the London Fixed Gear forums developed and is hand making a similar product. After some exchanges with the Hold Fast folks it appears they both came up with similar ideas at the same sort of time.

Yer the JOL straps are great I am sure although I myself am a big fan of the double strap / clip combo. Still, I must give them a try!
